Customer, staff safety and enjoyment is our main priority at supakart

Whilst from the 17th May the maximum group size that can take part in an indoor organised activity together is 30 people, here at Supakart in Newport we have more than enough space to accommodate groups in a safe and COVID secure way, whilst on and off the track.

This means that even if your group size exceeds 30 people, we can divide you into smaller groups and keep you safely socially distanced to ensure your safety and that of our other customers and crew members when you are not on track, and continue to allow you to race on track together due to all the protective racewear you are required to put on as well as the distance between karts.

Supakart have thorough and robust COVID secure plans on dealing with groups within our venue. In accordance with the latest Government mandate, the maximum number of people that can take part in an organised event as a single group is 30. Therefore any groups exceeding 30 people will be split into smaller groups and socially distanced appropriately to stay within the new Government rules and to maintain COVID secure status. However you will still be all able to be on track and race together.

I have a future booking for a group larger than 30 people, can our group still come?

Yes, your group is still welcome to take up the reservation. We just need to inform you that your group will be divided into smaller groups when you arrive at our venue’s reception and remain in these smaller groups whilst you are trackside. For example if you have booked for 40 people, we will likely split your group into, two groups of twenty(or groupings of your preference, keeping within the 30 person maximum rule). This will ensure our compliance with the new ruling and to ensure the safety of your group, other customers and our team. However you will still all be able to race at the same time on our circuit, because the protective clothing and spacing of karts means we can accommodate that safely and in a COVID secure way. We are fortunate with the space that we have, as we can safely distance a number of people at the same time. As with all customers we ask that you wear face coverings when moving about the building and stay safely socially distanced as directed by our team.

We have taken the following steps to make sure everyone has a fantastic time in a safe environment:

• Ozone sanitising unit installed into a room - each race suit and helmet is sanitised for 20 minutes after every customer and then sprayed with anti bacterial spray.
• Social distancing measures have been installed.
• Staff and customers will wear PPE.
• Masks are mandatory and will be available to purchase on reception for £1 if you have left yours behind at home.
• Anti bacterial hand wash and hand sanitiser is readily available in the customer toilets and reception area.
• Regular cleaning and sanitising of customer areas, staff areas and equipment will take place throughout the day.
• Each member of staff is temperature checked at the beginning of each shift.
• Staff have been given up to date training on new procedures.
